An Update From The Council
The Council Ag Education Summit

The Council Ag Education Summit is Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2 - 5:30 p.m. local time at the National Association of Agriculture Educators (NAAE) Convention in Las Vegas, Nev.

The summit has become an annual event where The Council announces new initiatives, shares exciting information and gathers input from Agricultural Education Related Organizations (AERO) attendees. The focus of the 2022 summit will be the revision of the National AFNR Content Standards and updates to the 2021-25 Council's Strategic Priorities. The AERO representatives who attend represent the Agricultural Education Division of the Association for Career and Technical Education, American Association for Agricultural Education, Historically Black Colleges & Universities, MANRRS, National Association of Agricultural Educators, National Association of Supervisors of Agricultural Education, National FFA Organization, National Farm and Ranch Business Management Education Association, and Professional Agricultural Student Organization.

Each organization is asked to have eight members in attendance for equal representation. Contact your AERO representative on The Council and let them know you would like to attend.

SAE for All
A second rollout of the SAE for All project will take place in 2023 to support and expand the implementation of the project initially launched in 2019. Teacher and state leaders are encouraged to identify opportunities within their state's professional development calendar when virtual or in-person training can be delivered.

A committee including leaders from NAAE, AAAE, NASAE, FFA and the AET has worked to identify needs and opportunities to support the adoption of SAE for All in more states and local programs. Train the trainer opportunities will be offered virtually and at in-person events. Expanded development of relevant supporting resources will drive the initiative for the next few years.

Teachers interested in learning more about SAE for All and corresponding tools that are already available can find resources at https://saeforall.org.
